Hey people!
I wanted to tell you about something I am REALLY excited about that we are starting up in the RDU. Once a month, starting May 15th, we will be putting on a "Songwriters Summit" hosted by the Summit Church (www.summitrdu.com). Basically it's a day for songwriters of ALL experience levels to come together to write songs for Jesus and His bride! We'll get together, break off into groups of 2 or 3, write, and then come back together to share, encourage, critique, etc. It's gonna be an amazing time, and it REALLY is for ANYONE who is interesting in writing songs. Maybe you've written one song but it's really bad....maybe you've written a song that won you a grammy....or maybe you've NEVER written a song in your life, but you want to learn how. THIS IS THE PLACE FOR YOU!!! The heart of this deal is for all of us collectively to GROW as songwriters that glorify God and edify the Church. You don't have to be a member of Summit Church to come....anyone is welcome....even seminary students! Here are the details:
What: Songwriter’s Summit
When: Saturday, May 15th, from 10:00AM – 1:00 PM
Where: Summit Kids area (look for the signs) at the Summit’s Brier Creek Campus (2335 Presidential Dr.
Durham, NC 27703)
What you need to bring: a Bible, a simple recording device like a cell phone or laptop, and your instrument if you have one or play
